Kyoto Story 2010

Kyoto Story is an oddly structured romance starring the Uzumasa Daiei street arcade; Rashomon and Ugetsu were among the films shot at the defunct Daiei Studio. Librarian Kyoko finds herself torn between the local tofu-maker's son, who harbours dreams of stand-up comedy stardom, and a visiting professor. Should she accept the academic's offer and head to Beijing, or stay in Uzumasa and honour her heritage?
